 When I first stepped into the Hush Hush Club, I committed a sin. I posed as a would-be waitress while staking out the club for my own secret reasons. I didn't realize that I would immediately catch the eye of the owner. I couldn't fathom a man so powerful being instantly attracted to me. He loved my curvy body, my red hair, my shy smile. He told me what a good girl I am. I had no idea just how depraved he actually was... until I stepped into the shadow. I let him lead me down a sinful and decadent path into corruption. Now I fear I am owned by secrets so dark and debauched that I may never return in one piece.

This is a first-time author for us and we enjoyed our first read by them. This tale had a little bit of everything to keep the reader engaged a couple of characters who had great chemistry and wanted to explore one another. The side characters were enjoyable also.

The story is filled with mystery and suspense a string of murders, drama, and an intense attraction between Kaylee an undercover agent, and West owner of a sex club known as Hollywood Star. It was an instant attraction between this couple and Kaylee who quickly became West's obsession. Loved the fact especially Kaylee in the position she found herself in that she did not fight the attraction between these two.

We enjoyed this fast-paced read with a side of kink and a character willing to explore and find a side of herself she never knew to exist. Loved that West and Kaylee teamed up together to solve a heinous crime all the while finding something else along the way. A great read and a side of kink and an author that we would read again. We don't read a lot of murder mysteries not that it is not in our wheelhouse but, loved that we changed things up a bit and read something different and this was a perfect read to get our feet wet once again.
