This story goes right to the heart of the reader It makes you sad and heartbroken for what these characters have had to endure for the sinister deeds and the darkness of others.

Grace is a character that was a hot mess and it's no wonder for all she endured her fragile state is troubling but, once the woman gets her mojo back she is a force to be reckoned with.

Maxim may be a killer but, there are even lines he does not cross and that is hurting women and children. This man was a goner from the moment he met Grace as his attraction was instant and his need to protect became paramount. Loved seeing the man so flustered and so out of his element he was a good man that did bad things.

This was a story that was emotionally messy full of suspense and healing and a plot that took some twists and turns and one heck of a surprise that rocks both Sergei and Maxim's worlds.  An unusual love story that  had its ups and downs as Maxim was really out of his element when it comes to relationships and letting people into that dark heart of his. Grace's dark knight as she called him but, regardless of his chosen profession he makes her feel safe.

I loved Grace and Maxim as a couple they were good for one another their chemistry was beautiful and we saw Sergei as another protector who could not help but, fall in love with all things Grace in a fatherly way.

So many tender moments this story had between Grace and Maxim they were beautiful and touching.

Never lie to a hit-man about his mark you will soon regret it...
