I don't care if I ever leave!”

That’s what they say about me. In fact, it became my nickname—IRIS.
Yes, I like to blow stuff up.
Yes, it’s more exciting than dismantling a bomb.
Is it my fault I have a thirst for exhilarating work?
So, I went on this job that was less than thrilling.
My team was supposed to solve a series of murders, but that’s not really my thing.
And the worst part was keeping an eye on this woman.
Jane Layne. Shayla Jacque. Detective Jane Blackthorne… Blackwood?
Who has that many names?
As a mystery writer with a flare for the dramatic, she’s determined to solve the murder cases based on her very own books.
She’s smart as a whip and entertaining to be around. But there’s one thing I can’t stand.
Her fascination with her neighbor.
Alexander Pierce.
He’s a smarmy lawyer who has her wrapped around his little finger.
And I bet that’s larger than what he boasts down below.
Between the backhanded compliments and those pretentious suits, I’m not sure what she sees in him.
And don’t get me started on her informant. Tall, suave…a version of me, if I’m being honest.
All these men falling at her feet, and where do I fit into the equation?
Why am I not in her books? Granted, she just met me, but that’s beside the point.
If I want to be the main character in her life, I have to stop playing the supporting friend.
I just hope she doesn’t blow us up first.
What an awesome read this series gets better and better the read was down right hilarious! As always this story has amazing characters we have to say that our favorite character is Fox that guy just cracks me up time and time again. The whole cast if being honest and the woman of these teams are the bomb!
The plot was fun and suspenseful and we loved the fact that it revolved around a woman who writes mystery books it had a romance twist as well as a mystery twist.
Jane was a train wreck but, in a good way she was messy and smart and beautiful and when she was in writing mode everything around her went to he** in a hand basket . She was so funny one thought that comes to mind thinking of her is she is one hot mess! Her first date was downright hilarious .Throughout the whole book I did nothing but laugh. Loved this woman's sense of humor as well as her clever mind.
Iris was a character that just cracked us up with him constantly blowing stuff up to his possessive and protective streak. Loved seeing the fun and flirty side of him and the camaraderie with his team as well as with Jane even the sexy side of him.
Jane and Iris were perfect for one another their chemistry and sizzle obvious for all to see now they need to see it themselves or will they need a push? Love that these men fall hard and fast for their women already denying their already caught but, loved the drama and messy bits it takes to get there.
Overall an awesome intriguing plot that had you guessing who done it and in the next breath changing your mind but, one thing we agreed on with Iris is that Alexander Pierce was a snake in the grass from the moment we met him with his greased back hair and expensive suits and backward insults he wasn't fooling us one bit of who and what he really is. Loved the story it was a page turner and if your not reading this author's series you are missing out on an awesome author who takes you on some amazing adventures that are filled with so many lol moments.

I'm a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, "No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book." I didn't think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn't already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven't been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.
