The story started off hot and daring and as the plot thickens things got a lot more complicated. We have to say we had a hard time even liking Hugo's character at first but, as the story progresses you get more of an understanding about how the man thinks and feels and you actually start liking the man more and more especially when he starts to show Ava whats below the surface of the grumpy and hostile and possessive man. First impression a snob an a-hole a bully, egotistical and so much more. Now Ethan on the other hand we just loved and wished he was the one for Eva but, they were always meant to be just friends but, also soulmates in a friendship kind of way. The fake fiance and Ethan's beard.

Ava was a sweetheart and generous kind and the gentlest of souls she wore her heart on her sleeve. A good person with a loving heart and you could only be blessed to be touched by her light and laughter.

The one time Ava let's go and has a magical night with a stranger she never dreamed she would end up pregnant and her mystery man Ethan's estranged brother.

The story took you on a bit of an emotional roller coaster but, there was also love and laughter, we loved Ava's personality and snarky remarks she made things fun in  tense situations.

Overall a delightful read. We loved that Hugo had a person in his corner rooting for his success of wooing his girl as the man needed all the help he could get. Enemies to lovers, revenge, blackmail, oops pregnancy, instant attraction/instant love fake fiance's if that is you this is the perfect read to check all those boxes. The epilogue is perfect for this couple and Ethan as well it put a smile on our face. Loved it!

“She’s not like that. Ava—she didn’t think! She'd never had casual $ex with random strangers before,” he added, his cheeks reddened with anger. Who knew…my brother had balls after all.

She rested a soothing hand on his shoulder.

“Ethan—”

“Oh, now she’s Saint Ava?” I pointed an accusing finger toward her. “Tell you what, she wasn’t that much of a saint when she was on her knees sucking my c@ck like it was her favourite candy bar.”
