A spin-off from the Only One series
Vivienne
I did the last thing I ever expected to do. I bought a boat. A beautiful boat that was all mine to spend the summer on.
Only thing I was looking forward to was the calm being on the water brought me.
A place where I wasn’t a hockey dynasty princess or the only single girl of the family.
What I wasn’t looking forward to was the broody man in the boat next to me.
Xavier
I was at the top of my game two years ago.
Then it all came crashing down.
I hung up my skates and vowed to never play again.
I was good at hockey, but hockey was bad for me.
I planned to spend my life on my boat with my dog.
Alone. Happily alone.
Until she came along.
This was a fantastic read my favorite in this ongoing series. Xavier and Vivienne were perfect for one another and loved how they just fell into one another. For us this is one of those feel good books that makes you smile and made laugh throughout the entire story. Loved Viv's sense of humor and her snarky comments but, also she had this larger than life personality and you could not help but, be affected by her light and love. These two had awesome chemistry that was playful and sexy. We think the must have sex on every surface of Xavier's boat. Lol
Xavier's struggles were real and heartfelt and we loved that he trusted Vivienne and Beatrice enough to open up to them about the feelings he was having and his struggles and his pain.
A delightful read that made us laugh. We love Viv's crazy family they are so much fun with their wicked sense of humor and always in each other's business all the time. Xavier now had so much support going forward he would be just fine. Viv's secret is out and her family and Xavier could not be prouder. We couldn't hold back the tears as we approached the ending it was bound to happen at some point.
When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...
