 Going to start off by saying this author is one of my top favorites and go to authors for me this author always delivers and gives the reader everything the reader is looking for in a story and at-least for me her characters are memorable and love-able and they are the kinds of stories you can read over and over again and never tire off.

I have been waiting forever for Conor and Star's story for so long and we were not disappointed and we are so glad that the author decided to do a duet because otherwise the story would have not have had the full impact on the emotional state of the reader if their story had been rushed and packed into one book. The author took the time to let these characters explore and gain the trust of one another before things started to sizzle and we loved that the most. The ground work these characters laid between themselves for the past two years is what makes them perfect for one another do they still have secrets and regrets yes but, they have already done the hard work forged and bond, have mutual respect for one another and treat each other as an equal. If this couple hadn't bonded because of their similar work they would have bonded over the similarities of their pasts making it possible to be open and honest about the horrors that had been through and know just what the other person understood even what was unspoken and just get were they were coming from.

The first part of this couples journey is about falling in love, learning that the pair always have each others backs but, it is also about tying up loose ends and getting the revenge you always dreamed about.

This series from the very beginning has an ongoing plot so in my opinion the story should be read in order as the story has a lot of moving parts to it. With all this being said we were already in love with these characters before they got the story and our heart about burst how emotional their stories made the reader feel and that it felt like a blessing as well as fate that these two broken souls found one another and could find some sense of peace in the arms of one another.

We thought the story was fantastic it had heart and love and chemistry as well as secrets and lies and more than a few surprises. The story is a serious one and has parts that are very dark and parts that make you squirm but, there is balance with teasing and laughter. Conor and Star are a couple of characters that will always be memorable individually and well as a couple.

Book 2

Wow ! I was blown away with Star and Conor's stories

they were heartfelt and well as a heart wrenching. We waited so long for their story and the author did not disappoint. The author did an amazing job tying up all those loose ends up among discovering even more betrayals and even more devastating news and learning Bear life wasn't in vain that man should be considered a hero. 

As the story progressed you felt that your heart was being ripped right out of your chest but, we loved the fact that this couple found a soulmate in one another that allowed them to trust again. As much as the stories made you cry there was a balance of laughter too.

The characters were all amazing and Star had some amazing friends and an adorable daughter. Loved Conor and Stars chemistry it was off the charts loved the trust that Star put in Conor when it came to intimacy and sex those were some heartfelt moments that brought tears to your eyes.

So much went on I loved the intrigue and surprises and so much more. A page turner couldn't put it down. Loved it and the ending was superb and perfect for this couple.
