Release Blast Imperfect Proposal by Annie Dyer

Release Date: January 26

Being caught in a cupboard in a compromising position with my latest hook up by my new colleague isn’t a great introduction.

The worse thing, that new colleague - she’s my estranged wife who’s been MIA for more than a decade.

Throw in the fact that neither of our families knew we were married in the first place and it’s safe to say, events maybe aren’t going as smoothly as planned.

Thea and I married ten years ago in Vegas, the day we both qualified as doctors. I knew plenty about her: the way she kissed, how she liked her coffee and the best way to make her see stars.
What I didn’t know was that she was the daughter of a Lord, was ridiculously wealthy and she’d signed up to Doctors Without Borders.

The morning after our wedding, she was gone.

For a decade, all I’ve had are postcards, sent to wherever I’ve been working, with no return address. Those, and a heart that no matter how good a doctor I am, I just can’t fix.

Now Thea’s back in London.
And she wants to be back in my bed.

Our first proposal wasn’t perfect. Would the second lead to the same fate?

What an interesting second-chance romance read. The story had a great cast of characters and many past characters were gracing the pages once again in Thea and Shay's story. We love it when that happens it makes for some special moments.

The story was filled with so much emotion as well as playfulness and plenty of banter. Shay aka Doctor Green was one of those characters that makes you swoon. I loved the fact that even though he had been estranged from his wife for many years he never stopped loving her he may have been angry and hurt but, time never severed the bond that he had created with the woman who had become his wife.

Loved Thea's character we may not have loved the fact that she tore Shay's heart out but, after getting to know her we had a better understanding of the decisions she made all those years ago. She was a sweet kind and loving person. We loved how easily she fit in with his friends and family.

overall this was a slow-burn romance of moving on and leaving the past behind. We understood the pain Shay had even his reluctance to give Thea another chance but, setting all fears aside the heart still wants what it wants, and their chemistry and connection never disappeared over time and are still running rampant. It would be a shame to let a love and connection go like they had as you may never feel that kind of connection or love again.

We actually loved how they started courting once again it was cute and considering their time apart was full of letters and postcards it seemed to work in the favor. There were so many awesome moments.

The story had you rooting for this couple as both characters had a lot to unpack and work through and sometimes loving someone is not enough but, for us, we believe that even if this couple could not find their way back to one another they would never find another love and connection they had between them with someone else. We believed they would always ache and pine for the one that got away. Our take fight for your beloved!
