This was just an okay read for me the story took too long to get going.The characters were great some funny others emotional but, we loved the humor that balanced out what was happening to Julia to make it a little bit lighter.
We loved that Julia's entire friends and family were there from the moment her troubles started and it broke our heart for what she was going through you could clearly see she was the type of woman to have in your corner and clearly cares deeply those under her supervision. She could also be a little fierce thing and we loved that about her too.
Once things got going things started heating up and we loved seeing Julia and Chase putting an end to the cat and mouse game they had been playing for years. Their romance was sweet and tender and once Chase got his head out of butt it was full throttle from there out.
Overall this was a pleasant read for us we just thought something was missing with this one.. We love slow burn romances but, this was just two slow for me. The book was roughly over 63 percent before things started rolling in the romance department.
When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four-inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...
