OMG! Just wow, another scorching read in this ongoing series! This story was intense and suspenseful and heartbreaking and had a cast of amazing characters the good bad and the ugly.

We loved Aurora and Alexei story, they were amazing together, their chemistry with one another off the charts. From the moment they met, you felt their fierce attracting toward one another, even if Aurora considered them enemies. I loved that there was a secret that lie between them that Aurora never knew that they had crossed paths eons ago but, one little boy never forgot his connection to that brave little girl he once encountered.

Aurora and Alexei have more in common than she can  even imagine, and that makes things interesting they might have not suffered in the same way or endured the same things but, they experienced the same pain for the loss of a boy who vanished long ago.

The story was delightful, the author is a master storyteller and this series is just awesome the characters are dark and dangerous, possessive of their women their children and love each other, so fiercely it's heart melting.

Alexei our heart broke for the pain and anguish this man had to suffer, but you could not help but, be drawn to the dark and dangerous man full of tattoo's. Alexei's iciness was not a turnoff at all, it was more of a challenge and made him intriguing, and his sinfulness plays havoc on Aurora's lady parts even when she doesn't want them too. God help anyone who crossed his path that hurt his woman or his family.

We also have to give a shoutout to Alexei's nieces boy where they cute and made us laugh their antics, the closeness he had with them heart melting their bargains interesting to say the least. Love them to pieces.

Aurora's brothers also need to be praised, I could not imagine having brothers like them the protectiveness and fierceness when it came to their sister may seem over the top but, we loved them for caring so much for her and even though Aurora maybe annoyed at times with them, she loved them just as fiercely.

This was one smoking hot read, fan worthy, panty melting you experience laughter as well has heartache and pain with these characters. We have to admit that we shed some tears, it could not be helped. Alexei has an amazing family and awesome friends who always have his back in his time of need.

Overall, this book turned out to be one that moved up the chart to some of my absolute favorite reads for 2022. Can't wait to see what comes next for these characters, they are all unforgettable, what a page turner this story turned out to be.
