It was just another day in the life of being a small town cop.

I’m a protector at heart, and always have been.

Which is why I stepped up immediately after finding out I had a kid.

Well…to be honest, I didn’t believe it at first.

I actually thought it was a prank when the little girl was brought into the station.

It took a paternity test for me to really feel the gravity of the situation.

Fine, I didn’t handle it well at all.

But when I had proof Emily was really mine, nothing would stand in the way of me protecting her.

I may have gone a little overboard.

At least, that’s what my sexy neighbor thinks.

But what does she know? She let my kid drink out of a garden hose!

Sure, I did it as a kid, but I’m bald now. What if drinking out of a hose at such a young age ruined my chances of having a decent head of hair?

Am I really supposed to allow my child to be put in danger like that?

But the more I hang around with Katka, the harder I find it to ignore the logic in what she’s saying.

Maybe it’s the late night dancing she performs for me.

Or her crazy family that thinks I’m not good enough.

Whatever it is about her, it drives me to the edge.

All I think about is her.

All I want is her.

But she doesn’t want a kid.

Despite the passion building between us, I’m not the man she’s looking for.

I’ll just have to find a way to prove I’m exactly what she needs.

We really loved Lucas's and Katka story, and we are sorry to see the series ending but, these amazing characters will never be forgotten as this was one of our favorite series for 2022 we never laughed so hard through an entire series.

We already loved Lucas with his wicked sense of humor his teasing ways, the way he supported Penny when she needed him, overall he was just a fun guy his only fault he was a major playboy hit it and miss it type but, boy has he met his match now with the fairer sex

Katka is not an easy mark for Lucas, and we assume she is not his normal type but, he is highly attracted to the spirited female. We loved her she was a lot of fun, easy going for the most part, loves her family, fiercely independent, had a wicked sense of humor, and we love loved her blushes as well as her generous heart.

Loved the competition between Jake and Lucas, those moments had us laughing so hard and were priceless. This story might kind of feel like an enemies to lovers kind of read but, in reality, these two were just fighting fate. Katka was capable of more than she thought she was, in the sense of what she was willing to give to experience the love and happiness she rightly deserved. Lucas surprised us on how he really stepped up to the plate, honestly we didn't think he had it in him, loved that he proved us wrong on so many levels.

Lucas and Katka chemistry was off the charts, they sizzled together in and out of the bedroom. Tons of hot and sexy scenes, and they were perfect for one another, and we loved the fact that Katka wasn't all girly girl or even tomboy, she was right in the middle somewhere just perfect for her personality.

Overall, this story was down right hilarious and had so many precious moments surrounding Lucas's daughter Emily. Loved the fact that the town had Lucas's back when he was in need, and that we got a chance to see our favorite characters one last time.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven't been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.
