Will these two enemies fall in love after they’re forced to say “I do”?
As the head chef of a bustling restaurant, Jocelyn Gray must stay focused. With her family relying on her, she can’t afford to get distracted.
She especially can’t let the arrogant dreamboat Luke Wright, the man she’s hated for a decade, distract her.
But desperate and cash-strapped, Jocelyn soon considers a shocking proposal from her worst enemy…
The oldest son of the wealthy Wright family, Luke has big plans to use his family’s riches for good.
The only thorn in his side? A gorgeous blond chef who seems to be the only woman immune to his charms.
But Luke’s plans are upended when he learns that he must marry, or risk losing his entire inheritance.
Now he needs to find a wife—and fast. And Jocelyn Gray is the perfect woman for the job.
As these two enemies let their walls down, will they let love win? Or will their vows become nothing but hollow promises?
We liked the characters well enough but, I would not go as far that we loved them and that is because felt this couple lacked chemistry between them. I got the love hate thing and I think had the author had gotten that out of the way before the fake marriage started or the beginning of their marriage they couple might have had a fighting chance to make a go of the marriage for real and putting the past behind them.
Jocelyn was a pretty goal driven hard worker whose life was all about her career and family, not much downtime to play with. Luke on the other had lived a bit differently but, his life was always full of his family's drama.
I think grandma was a romantic at heart and wanted what was best for her grandsons when she came up with her crazy scheme, maybe she already had a girl in mind for Luke and just forced his hand but, one will never know. I have to say, loved the pet rabbit of Jocelyn who really became the icebreaker between the couple.
Not only that, but I liked Luke and Jocelyn as a couple because they really were perfect for one another, they had to just bide their time through the rocky waters. Loved the small town feel. I think in the end bottom line love is worth the risk after all...
