Book Review for Hustler by Gina Azzi

 Release Date: January 6

Theodore Edward Sims was supposed to be my hot summer hook-up, a stranger I slept with in Hawaii. Now, he's my stepbrother's new hockey teammate.

When we met, Theo was a sexy surfer in Maui, riding waves by day and rocking my world at night. After being played for a fool by my ex-fiancé, Theo proved to be a source of instant gratification.

He was refreshingly honest, engaging, and incredibly charming. Theo built me up when it felt like my world was crumbling down.

Turns out, he's just like my ex. A liar.

To avoid the gossip of my failed engagement, I hightail it to Boston, where I'm forced to cross paths with a new version of Theo, aka Eddie Sims, Boston Hawks right wing. Here, he isn't the well-connected, alluring surfer but a determined, angry hockey hunk with something to prove. Especially to me.

Except I've written him off. Once a liar, always a liar.

But Theo isn't backing down. Instead, he's hustling for my forgiveness. If I give him another chance, will he live up to his apologies? Or am I just lying to myself?

Loving this series, another great story that was filled with a ton of emotion and heart and soul. The characters were awesome, and we loved how they rallied around one another with love and compassion, and loved the fact that Theo's parents held no grudges for the past's history.

Sofie was a larger-than-life character, living at the moment like it was her last. Due to Sofie's history and past, it is no wonder why she looks at life the way she does, she reminds me of a free spirit. We found her to be a beautiful and kind and loving character. Sofie made is effortless to fall in love with her character.

Theo experienced some rough times himself but, he has taken some time for himself to reflect and dissect his life, and he is ready to move forward and become a better person for himself and his family. Has Theo made excuses for his past? No, he owned up to every one of his mistakes but, he is ready to move forward and after meeting a sprite named Sofie, he wants to be a better person for her also. We loved him with Sofie, they just seemed so natural together and like they had been together forever and not mere months. Loved that!

Loved the chemistry between Theo and Sofie, it was the slow-burning kind. We loved that they made what that had seemed so easy and natural and just perfect for one another.

Overall, a moving and touching story with a lot of love. The last chapter had me balling my eyes out as I could not stop crying. Love the ending, miracles really do happen...

We recommend this story as well as the series!
