What an outstanding read with nonstop drama along with being heart-pounding had tons of mystery and suspense, we just loved it. These characters were awesome, the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Saxon love, her name, she was a pre-med student who pretty much grew up as a princess and never really knew who her family really is and what they are capable of. Loved her from the onset she was strong and a fighter, loved her with and sense of humor, she was smart and sassy and more than anything a survivor but, this woman was far from a princess.
Kage was dark and dangerous and dead inside but, one slip of a girl managed to get past his defenses, it's just a matter of time to see if he will embrace what is coming or fight it tooth and nail.
This story kept me on edge and the seat of my pants the entire time. I have to say, even Kage scared the crap out of me, as you never knew what to expect from the man. The story was very dark and intense and a very sinister tale.
The story may have triggers for people, so beware. The chemistry between Kage and Saxon off the charts and the heated moments scorching hot. You think Saxon is completely nuts, being attracted to this man she was drawn to him, she must see something others are overlooking but, their sick relationship if you want to call it that works for them. I will say that if anyone can tame the monster it would be Saxon, he is different around her around him and Kage will never admit it but, she is good for him, she grounds the man.
This is the type of story that you could go on and on about there was so much happening and had non-stop suspense, one betrayal after another, hard truths spoken and lies upon lies and broken trust it was an excellent read for us, and we can't wait for the conclusion. First-time author for us, and we really loved our first read by them.
