Wow! Another great read in this ongoing series. The story enticed you right from the beginning pages and kept you there to the bitter end.
We are loving the cast of characters, especially the women of the five Mafia Families, what a bunch of bada** women in our book. We loved them!
Not only that, but we loved the growth we saw in Emiliana as she came so far from the woman she once was. Emiliana has become a strong and brave and fierce woman now able to face the dangers of their world. We could not be more proud of the woman she has become.
The story had so much going on, along with still trying to find the person or persons responsible and involved with Emiliana's disappearance in the previous tale. We got a glimpse into Stephano's life and past, and we were liking what we were seeing, and although we knew he loved Emiliana for forever his actions and interactions between them now make sense and all those disappointments were about love and protecting what you loved at all cost. We now understood all the heartbreak was not one-sided, the plotting with the other Mafia Families was about making sure the ones they loved were safe from their enemies.
Loved being on this couple's journey after everything they both had been through, they deserve happiness.
The chemistry between this couple was on fire, and they were fated and soulmates.
The dangers intensified and things are heating up, and we can't wait for the next adventure to see how it all plays out.
