Battling my way through a career in the Navy when the curveball hit—medical discharge. I ambled aimlessly into life in a 1% MC. For a few years, I enjoyed the lifestyle of booze and a different woman every night. Soon, I was rethinking decisions made when a call from my brother’s former commanding officer changed my direction. Being a member of the Wounded Souls’ new chapter gave me another direction and path in life. A path that led me straight to a blonde mini cyclone, full of sass and secrets. 

Thayer became everything. Every thought, every beat of my heart. If only I could get her to do as she was told. She was a hazard to herself and my sanity, but by God, she was going to be mine. 

THAYER 

My place in my family was less than an afterthought. My parents hit the jackpot with their firstborn; I was just the unneeded spare child. Ignore me, and with any luck, I might go away. It took seventeen years, but I finally left the frigid confines of my family nightmare, only to walk straight into another one. Had it not been for my best friend Oaklee insisting I stay with her, I would have never laid eyes on the bossiest biker god ever created. 

Battle tested me every step of the way. He bossed me, barged into my life, and took care of me without asking me if I wanted him to do so. Ready-made sandwiches waiting for me in the fridge, with demanding texts barking out orders to eat. Vance ‘Battle’ Masters knew only one way to deal with me. Barge in and insist that I was His Reason for being born. 

Battle offered me everything I’d ever dreamed. Affection and love. 

Was it possible, my parents were wrong, and I wasn’t the unlovable mistake they accused me of being? Could Battle love me when he finds out my shameful secret? Or will he be like everyone else in my life, leaving me wondering what was wrong with me?

We have to say Battle and Thayer's story were our favorite couples characters of this series so far. We loved Battle, he was a character so easy to fall in love with. Not only that, but we loved how he looked after his family in the MC how he was with little Max and loved his grumpiness and growls and his bossiness and possessiveness and his protective nature, especially when it came to the safety of Thayer as well as the woman of the club. He really was a catch and perfect for Thayer, and they made an awesome couple. Like with many relationships, they both had to work through stuff in order to come to grips with their feelings for one another but, when Battle figured things out it was on like full speed ahead caveman style and all in full alpha mode no holds bar.

We loved Thayer and her sense of humor and sassiness how she was full of pi** and vinegar and her mouth OMG! We never knew what would come out of her mouth next, and boy did she make us laugh. Not only that, but we loved getting to know Thayer and our heart went out to her for all that she had been through and was still going through and learning what she considers darkness in her but, she is not alone anymore as Battle will be there with her to battle her demons.

The story was touching and fun, and we loved that Battle and Shiloh had some unfinished business to hash out, which went along way with Battle putting his past behind him in order to move forward. The story had love and laughter and a family who had your back. Loved the chemistry and all those little moments Battle and Thayer had together and so perfect for one another.

Overall, we loved the ups and downs and the surprises that came this couple's way and how they worked through these things together along with the support of their MC family and friends. We are thinking it was more like fate and perhaps our beloved Darf was playing matchmaker from the heavens above.
