Being the heir to Jacobs Enterprises, I’ve been around fake people my entire life. I promised myself a long time ago that I wouldn’t change for anyone. That’s when things get complicated. I thought I had her all figured out until I found out there was more underneath her judgmental sneers and eye rolls. It feels like everything is coming together for the future I really want—with Lena—until my past ruins everything.

Let's start off saying this was a first time author for us, and we really enjoyed our first read by them. This was a story that was quite funny, and we loved the banter and teasing that went on between Ford and Lena as well as Fords teammates The story was almost like an enemy to lover story, however neither Ford nor Lena really hated each other, it's more of a Lust after you kind of thing that pisses each other off kind of thing, especially when you don't want to have those kinds of feelings for that other person but, can't help yourself. LOL Although I started in the middle of the series, I can say we can't wait to go back and read the rest of the series, and we can already surmise that Ford did a 180 turn around, and it was something he himself and his teammates never expected. I have to say, we really loved Ford and the way he was with Annabelle, there were so many heart melting moments that made your heart go pitter-patter. And we loved the fact that the man changed his life so completely because his daughter became his #1 priority, and he never seemed to have regrets but, let's not fool ourselves, there is still some of the old Ford sticking around. LoL Lena was a character that wasn't an instant love character for us but, as the story progressed we got a better understanding of who she was and why she did some of the things she did and why which helped us warm up to her a bit. She, however, was the perfect mate for Ford and the kind of mother figure you could only hope for your daughter. When a situation arose, it really gave Lena and Ford a chance to really know each other and deep down realizing it was more than just lust. Each character having issues past and present, so they fumbled a bit but, in the end, the struggles are worth it because it just proves loving someone is worth the risk. Overall we just loved the story it made us laugh, grin, smile, and made our heart melt. We loved the unexpected surprises and the growth of the characters. The characters were funny and others busy bodies but, giving sound advice, and it was clear that they care for and love each other deeply. The story took a few twists and turns and had more than a few surprises making the story even more enjoyable but, the best part is sometimes you find the love of your life when you're not even looking for it yet, it's everything you secretly wanted for yourself and hoped for. So many precious moments with Annabelle, and they melted our heart each and every time, and we love it when the main characters have amazing chemistry, and Ford and Lena had that in spades. Looking forward to the next up in this series as we got quite the teaser at what is about to come next.
