This was a first-time author for us, and we really enjoyed our first read by them.
I really thought this story was very intriguing, and we absolutely loved it with the mystery that surrounded the who and why the witches were being sacrificed right down to the brute and rough around the edge characters it had. The story was constantly shrouded in mystery from being to end. Talk about a story keeping you on the edge this story did just that.
This story had an awesome cast of characters we loved them all but, our favorite was Lenore we fell in love with her quick wit, kindness, braveness from the moment we met her.
Lycus was one of those characters that drew you right to him. What a complicated character but, what we loved most about him was under all that rudeness and gruffness he actually cared about Lenore even if he had a weird way of showing it right from the moment they met.
Overall just loved all the witchy magic and the demon riding motorcycle-riding men and woman who hid behind an MC club to disguise themselves as well as their true natures. We were left with questions, and we want answers, so we are really looking forward to the next book in this series.

Unfortunately for my mother—and, as it turned out, myself—I had always been a headstrong child. I was a girl with far too many opinions, and far too few inhibitions. I was always running when told to walk, singing when I was told to be silent, proud when I was told to be humble.
See, The Sacrifice was both a verb and a noun.
An action.
And a person.
In this generation, that person was me.
