When an embarrassing disaster brings an unlikely hero to my door, I can’t help but feel like fate is trying to veer my life in a direction I had no intention of taking. When that direction forces me to take stock of just who my friends are, I find comfort in the arms of a man I did not expect.
I just have to figure out how to let him in without burning down the world around us.
I really enjoy this current story. The story emotional and heart wrench and filled with heartbreak but, it also had a really great cast of characters. From the moment I started turning the pages, the story drew you right in and kept you there to the bitter end.
Posey was a loveable character who had a lovely personality she may have been a little insecure but, she was also a bit of a firecracker. Found her to be sweet, kind, loving, and independent! My heart broke for all she had endured.
Shadow was so much we loved his protectiveness, possessiveness, and his alpha ways along with being a loving and caring, and all-around sweet guy who loved his wife with such fierceness. We loved that he gave her the space she needed in order to heal even though it tore his heart constantly to do so.
We loved the brute we called Chains, and we could not help but be drawn to his darkness but, now hearing his story he had a lot in common with Posey and Shadow more than you can imagine, but, now perhaps both of them together can find a way to put the past behind them and to rest once in for all. Those stolen moments Chains had with Posey's daughter just heart-melting!
Overall we absolutely loved the story which had a bit of drama and a lot of the unknown but, the story was full of tons and tons of love. Each and every member was blessed in the fact that they found their perfect old lady and Shadow had finally joined their ranks, and he was loving every minute of it. And when the chips were down Shadow's family had his back.
