Wow ! Another great read in this ongoing series. The story drew you right in from the very first pages. I absolutely loved the characters. This was pretty much a love at first sight kind of romance, and it was definitely one full of lust if nothing else.
We loved the characters as Jamie was a bit shy and distrustful but, for someone who traveled around the world, she has remained innocent in more ways than one. We loved seeing Jamie experiencing all her firsts and enjoying her life and developing amazing friendships, and also experiencing love for the first time in her life. A bit broken but, she is strong and determined to make a new life for herself, and she is surrounded by an incredible group of people who have taken her into the fold and will help her do just that.
Chase was a character that your heart went out to time and time again to for all that he suffered but, since the moment he laid eyes on Jamie he knew his life was about to change, and he knew she would be the one to bring him out of the dark void he had been wallowing in for so long.
Overall, we loved the story from beginning to end, and it had such a sweet love story that was filled with a ton of emotion. We also loved that the Wounded Souls characters graced the pages as well, and we love that the author is keeping them alive in a small way in each and every new story because we sure do miss those characters. We loved the chemistry this couple had and how perfect they were for one another as they were super hot together in and out of bed, and let's not forget there were a lot of hot and sexy scenes! This series is made up of wonderful characters that you just can't help but, fall in love with each one of them, and we love the little family they have created in this small town, and we got to say that it is full of hot alpha men who and possessive who are protective what more could a girl ask for especially one on the run......
I love the idea of being in love. Since my early teens when I first discovered Silhouette Desire novels my life has been all about reading. I would find myself re-writing scenes if I wasn't happy with them and hiding them under my bed. That led me to writing love stories of my own. They all ended up under the bed and are still there, and there they will stay. I don't do angst, in fact it drives me crazy.
I am a mum of three beautiful girls, Australian, and have what most say is a weird sense of humor.
I spend my free time doing movie, Sons of Anarchy, and Friends marathons. And reading.
I love Pina Colada's and getting caught in the rain..... there's that weird humor.
