Let's start off by saying this is a new author for us and we really enjoyed our first read by them.If you follow my reviews you know I am a MC gene book junkie and it's always nice to find a new author in the gene you love so much so I am going to love to see where this series will take us.

I enjoyed the story from cover to cover it was fun and the characters where great and engaging and the plot  was usual and had a bit of a twist to it which was a really nice surprise.

This was one of those stories where the main couple has strike after strike up against them from the onset of the story and you know from the beginning someone is going to end up hurt.The couple started out their romance/ hookup with a lie between them so it was the type of story where it kept you on edge the entire time wondering when the lies would come to light and who would end up dead or alive.

I loved the characters Harper and Lucien.Harper was a feisty, bad *ss,independent,funny,loyal had a sexy siren vibe but, innocent as well as sweet and kind and loving.We loved her she made us laugh throughout the story the entire time.Lucien was sexy,possessive,bossy a bit of a caveman,dangerous and goes to great lengths to protect those he loves.Meeting Lucien he screams danger and he believes a monster just simmers below the surface but, he is capable of loving and capable of forgiveness.

I think that out of all the characters Lucien/Reverent surprised me the most because he never acted they way you think he would.I loved that he could be sweet as well as funny especially considering all of his obstacles he had to overcome resurfacing from the dead.

The book gives you a different take on life ,loyalty and love.It was filled with tons of drama,suspense,twists and turns as well as jaw dropping surprises.It also shows us what lengths one goes to protect the ones they love and be damn the consequences.

We loved it and are looking forward to the next book in its series.

I am a happily married mother of three (two boys and one girl). I live in a very small town in Alabama. Never lived anywhere else. I’ve been writing since my early twenties, but I couldn’t seem to finish a book. I started self-publishing with the encouragement from my mom. Without her encouragement, I don’t think I would’ve done it!

I get my inspiration from life experiences, movies, television, other authors, and music. Music is definitely a big influence on my writing. I can hear a song and it can inspire an entire book for me. I listen to it while I’m driving or before I start writing and it keeps me inspired. I like to put music in my books, even if it’s just one song the characters listen to or hear at some point. Sometimes music has gotten me through the really tough times in my life and that’s why it inspires me.

I like to write fast-paced, steamy romance reads. I like for my males to be alpha-males and my heroines to be strong, but both need to have one weakness- each other. I am an avid reader. I absolutely love romance books!
