Their love could give him a second chance at life-or condemn her to an eternity of damnation.

Yanked from his tortured existence in Netherworld and dumped naked in the Louisiana Bayou, Lash could swear he’s died and gone to heaven. Except for the fact that a millennium ago he died a condemned soul, forever barred from Paradise. His new life feels like the next best thing, full of small miracles. Like silence. And ice water. And the company of a beautiful, compassionate woman.

Teva is a woman with a taste for heavy-metal music, an inherited talent for magic, and a trusting heart. She knows nothing about the mysterious stranger she’s taken in, only that he needs her help. And the fact that he’s gorgeous hasn’t escaped her attention. She can’t see Lash as anything other than a sexy, gentle man who soothes her nightmares away. Then Lash learns the real reason for his reprieve from Netherworld-he’s been sent to corrupt Teva’s soul with sinful pleasures. Starved for tenderness and aching with desire, Lash yearns to accept the loving embrace Teva offers. But he can’t give in to passion without tainting her, condemning her to the horrors of Netherworld.

The ultimate battle between good and evil is brewing, and Lash stands caught in the middle between Teva, who owns his heart-and Satan, who owns his soul.

EXCERPT:

Her head kept nodding into his shoulder. She was sleepy and should be in bed, asleep and alone. But instead, she lay resting beside him.

He sighed. “Bedtime.”

“Oh, not yet. I’m awake.”

He grunted. “Your eyes are little slits.”

She gasped. “Do I look that bad?” She pushed to sit upward.

“Not at all.” In truth, he wanted to hold her and ease her tiredness. She’d stayed up with him, for him. He required little sleep and watched cartoons to pass time. “Go to bed. And I’ll clean up here.”

“Oh, no, I’ll help.”

“Fine. I’ll put you to bed.” He sat up, then scooped her up into his arms. She squealed while he stood up.

“Oh, gosh. Nic, put me down. I know I’m heavy.”

He frowned. She wasn’t heavy. Not at all. In Netherworld, he could handle burdens five times his weight. He was a good, dependable slave. She didn’t weigh anything near what he did.

After a moment of struggle, she wrapped her arms around his neck. Her breasts flattened against his chest. “Don’t drop me.”

As if.

He inhaled. He’d never get enough of her unique scent. Surely Paradise didn’t smell any better. When he went home, he’d treasure the memory of her scent as much as he would her and her touch.

The soft pant of her breath teased him. His cock hardened, so rigid it ached.

A gentle hand tangled into his hair.

He groaned, finally arriving inside her room. “Here you go.” He released her legs, only to have her arms continue to cling to his neck. “Teva…”

“Kiss me, Nic.”

His heart thundered in his chest. Beat in his ears. Lust surged to his cock to tighten his balls.

*A kiss…*

“A kiss goodnight can do neither of us any harm.”

Not able to argue, hungrily, he dipped his head. She rose up on tiptoe to press her lips to his. He groaned at the jolt of desire that rushed through his veins. His hands held a steady grip on her hips.

Soft lips brushed across his mouth.

Arousal beat strong within him. His hands drifted up along her back.

She moaned.

Her lips and teeth teased as she writhed in his arms.

His cock twitched. His balls tightened in warning at the promise of release. Licking, she tugged at his mouth until he opened, allowing her to seek entrance. Her tongue dove into his mouth to toy with his own. She tasted of the grapes and cantaloupe they’d snacked on.

Lash growled as hunger beat stronger. His hands drifted down to capture her ass. He cupped her in his palms to press his hard length into her soft belly. Need boiled hot in his balls. He wanted to come, but most of all he wanted Teva. He ached to stuff her with his cock until he exploded into her soft depths.

In a small town where secrets last five minutes, privacy is a myth, and gossip lasts forever, this might have been the worst possible place to settle.

After my last job fell apart and burned my reputation, I followed Archer to this small town in Nowhere, Montana.

I had no intention of staying longer than the night, but circumstances took a turn for the worse when not only was there not an immediate solution to my job problem, but the only places to stay were the local roach motel or a bed and breakfast with flowery bedspreads and potpourri in every room.

But then I happened to help out a Parker, which apparently meant something in this town.

Not only did I land myself a house rental for as long as I needed, but I ended up with a neighbor who insisted on feeding a stray dog on my property, convinced he was mine.

And as much as I fought it, I found myself sort of liking the damn dog.
Not that I would ever admit that.
But the dog wasn’t the only unexpected addition to my daily life.

It seemed the more I tried to ignore my neighbor—her perky personality, the weird tea concoctions, and her ability to make me want her even when she annoyed me—the more I found myself intertwined in her life.

And that might just get her killed.

I'm a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, "No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book." I didn't think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn't already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven't been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.
