Cover Reveal for Jingled by Evan J. Corbin

Jingled
Evan J. Corbin
Publication date: November 7th, 2025
Genres: LGBTQ+, Satire, Speculative Fiction

Matt Daughtry has always felt like he and his parents live in separate worlds—his shaped by the urbane, Northeastern liberal elite, theirs by Southern conservatism, homespun “common sense,” and talk show-fueled conspiracies. His homosexuality remains an open secret, something they sidestep rather than confront, much less accept. When he and his sister return for Christmas, the wrong sibling brings home a boyfriend for the first time.

What starts as a tense but routine holiday gathering takes a surreal turn the next morning. Flights are canceled, pilots and flight attendants mysteriously take time off, and by the following day, an estimated seventy-eight million Americans fail to return to work. Their explanation? They just want to spend more time with their families. Christmas can be every day when you’re with family.

His parents—and millions of Americans—are suffering from a bizarre condition, trapped in an endless holiday loop, determined to celebrate Christmas every day. They make choices that go against their self-interests. Blissfully unbothered by their accumulating debts, economic collapse, or even basic responsibilities, they live in a festive delusion seemingly fueled by an addictive algorithm used by an evangelical shopping app called MerryNet.

At first, Matt sees no reason to get involved. He’s never been able to reach his parents before—why would this be any different? But as the syndrome spreads, paralyzing the country, he stumbles upon evidence linking the outbreak to corporate actors intent on silencing their perceived right-wing enemies. Faced with a choice between complicity and action, Matt realizes that exposing the truth may come at the cost of his career, safety, and sanity. But the country may slide further into a dystopian nightmare if he doesn’t act.

With the help of his boyfriend and sister, Matt must not only uncover the syndrome’s cause and cure but also confront the deeper divisions tearing his family—and the nation—apart.

BLURB

Jules Westwood lives her days surrounded by the sweetest treats. But there’s no cookie, cake, or muffin that comes close to giving her the same joy she feels when she sees him.

The man who’s a bit rough around the edges with his laidback attitude and carefree lifestyle is exactly what she wants. Because despite what her family believes, Jules is a bit of a rebel.

Beau Easton didn’t know who Jules was when he first approached her, merely believing a date with her would be much more satisfying than the cookies he bought from her bakery. And when he learns she’s a Westwood, the equivalent of royalty in Landing, he wonders if he should take a step back.

But Beau gets a taste of Jules, getting something far sweeter than he ever expected. There isn’t a chance he’ll ever give her up.

Unfortunately, their secret relationship is uncovered, and her family is shocked. But the Westwoods are going to have to come to terms with the couple’s new relationship, because whether they like it or not, Beau’s going to be part of their family forever.
This was a new author for us, and we are glad we took the chance to read this story. We ended up loving it and plan to read the entire series. "Rebel Heart" is the sixth and final book in the Westwoods series, focusing on the youngest family member, Jules, and her older professional skateboarder, Beau. This age-gap romance was filled with unexpected family drama, sizzling chemistry, and a heartwarming connection that resonated with Jules' passion for baking. Despite their differences, Jules and Beau had an amazing connection, even though Beau initially resisted it due to his troubled past. Jules came from a loving family, while Beau's family was the opposite. Jules was a character easy to connect with, loving, fun, and beautiful inside and out. Their relationship may have seemed unconventional at times, but it worked for them. We appreciated the love and support Beau showed Jules in her time of need. They made a beautiful couple. Beau's character development was remarkable as he transformed into an incredible man who stood by Jules. He was a redeemable character. We thoroughly enjoyed the story, particularly the well-developed characters who brought drama, heartache, pain, and love to the narrative. It was heartwarming to see Beau create a sense of family with his best friends. The highlight of the story is how the author wrapped up the series. The author provided insight into the lives of all the beloved characters, a unique approach that we have not seen before, and would appreciate in future series finales.

AUTHOR BIO

A.K. Evans is a contemporary romance author of over seventy published novels. While she enjoys writing a good romantic suspense novel, Andrea’s favorite books to write have been her extreme sports romances. That might have something to do with the fact that she, along with her husband and two sons, can’t get enough of extreme sports.

Before becoming a writer, Andrea did a brief stint in the insurance and financial services industry and managed her husband’s performance automotive business. That love of extreme sports? She used to drive race cars!

When Andrea isn’t writing, she can be found homeschooling her two sons, doing yoga, snowboarding, reading, or traveling with her family. She and her husband are currently taking road trips throughout the country to visit all 50 states with their boys.

BLURB

Finnian “Apollo” Reins met Dru Noel Rossi at his lowest.

She was a bright ray of sunshine in his darkest, cloudiest night.

He had no clue that he needed her. He was just struggling to keep his head above water, going from day to day, waiting for it to be his time to go.

But then she catches his eye in the swankiest restaurant in Washington DC. She’s wearing all black and sticks out like a sore thumb among the elitists’ otherwise dressiest affairs. She may have been severely underdressed, but that didn’t stop Finnian from following her every move and becoming obsessed.

So of course, when she leaves, he follows her. And wouldn’t you know it, she goes right back to his hometown.

But that’s not the first coincidence between the otherwise complete opposites. It’s just a long line of chance encounters that force them together, time and time again, and show them what they’re missing.

She’s the sweetest thing he’s ever met, and understandably, is hesitant to get anywhere near a Truth Teller like him.
The Truth Tellers MC got their hard, terrifying reputations for a reason.

But Finnian wears her down with his charm, while showing her what it’s like to be with someone that won’t hesitate to take out the entire world as long as it makes her smile.

He has to have her in his life, and he’ll do just about anything to make that happen. A little light stalking, financial blackmail, and forced proximity never hurt anybody.

We absolutely adored this book. We had a feeling that Apollo's story would be both heartbreaking and emotional, considering his struggle with the death of his son Tavi throughout the series. Dru is grappling with family issues. They meet in challenging circumstances and find solace in each other. This story was emotional, fun, and suspenseful, filled with family drama, quirky characters, and our favorite in this ongoing series. The chemistry between Apollo and Dru was explosive and beautiful. They made an awesome couple. Dru was everything Apollo needed and vice versa. As soon as we began flipping through the pages, we were captivated. Dru, a lovable character, won us over with her compassion and caring nature. Her tendency to ramble when nervous or anxious led to some truly hilarious moments. Watching Dru help Apollo come out of his shell and reveal his hidden smiles was heartwarming. Dru had a positive impact on him, and their differences allowed him to slowly heal emotionally. There were some expected events we did not see coming, yet it made the story all the more intriguing and frustrating for the characters, as the past was best left in the past. There were plenty of moments that made us laugh, but as the story unfolded with unexpected twists and turns, we found ourselves bawling like babies. We had been eagerly anticipating Apollo's story for a while, and it did not disappoint. The epilogue beautifully wrapped up Apollo and Dru's journey, showcasing the life they had built together could not have been more perfect.
