Book Blurb:
Tut has grown into his position as Pharaoh, but he is a wild young man. Naomi fears for him, not only because of his recklessness, but because he has put his trust in Ay–the man determined to destroy Naomi—despite her and Horemheb advising against it.

Meanwhile, death and slavery hang over Naomi and her family. With fear of the booming Hebrew numbers causing talk of enslaving them, conscription is reinstated and Naomi fears for the lives of her other children. Especially since Ay's children are now adults, and just as dangerous as their father. They threaten to take Itani, conspire against Tut, and pushing for power.

But Tut is in trouble. While Ay's daughter draws Horemheb's attention, and Naomi deals with the struggles of her family, everyone's distraction could spell death for the young Pharaoh.

EXCERPTS:
Excerpt 1:

My husband’s arms were wrapped around her naked body. The blankets were strewn and interwoven between their legs. He was spooning her with his biceps draped over her. I stood in the doorway taking in the scene of my husband and my best friend. It was the end of the world, at least for me. But I wasn’t going to take it lying down. I should have known better than to have married a warlock.

I hit him with a force spell that knocked him up against the headboard. He fell back down and braced his hands out to catch his fall. Cassandra scrambled out of the bed, dragging the silk comforter with her. Bitch. She better get out of my way. She was next.

Rich was naked as he sat up to look at me. Normally, the abs-flash trick would work. But not now. I was too pissed off. I knew what spells he used to look like that. It was easy to fool a mortal and ex-best friend on the floor. But not me. Thing is, we were too evenly matched. I think that was the problem.

Excerpt Two:

I noticed a hitchhiker along the side of the road. He held up a sign that read: “Anywhere.” It got me to stop. After all, it was where I was headed.
“Thanks for pulling over.” His Australian accent was music to my ears. I hadn’t heard one for a while. Flashes of a trip to Sydney came back to me.
“Sure. Hop in. We’re going to the same place.”
He opened the passenger door and slid into the leather seat. He threw a duffel bag onto the back seat with his sign. “Any place where you’re going, darling, is good for me.”
He buckled in as I pulled from the curb. I looked to my right as I checked my mirror. Not bad. I hadn’t met an Australian man that looked ugly. His blond hair was warmed by the sun. His blue eyes met mine with a smile as he said, “So thanks for stopping. Not many people helping me out around here. What made you stop?”
“Your sign is where I’ve decided to go right now.” I looked him over. He was all kinds of yummy. Definitely worth stopping for.
“Glad we’re going the same direction then.” He looked me over with a smile.

Excerpt 3:
Throwing money on the table, I grabbed his hand and pulled him from the booth. I led him to the elevator.
“What did you have in mind?” He hit the button and leaned toward me.
“You’ll have to wait and see.” I leaned into his neck and whispered into his ear. “Keeps you guessing.”
“Do I get three guesses?” he whispered back.
“Yes, but you only have until the elevator arrives,” I said, looking at the elevator count down the floors as it came down to pick us up.
“Is it bigger than a bread basket?”
“Yes.” I grinned, moving away to see if my bait was working, and looked back at the numbers. Four, three… Why was it taking so long? I hit the button to get it to move faster.
“Is it smaller than a thimble?”
“That depends on what you do with it.” I smiled at him, as he leaned closer to me again. I could feel his breath near the back of my neck as I still watched the elevator’s progress.
“Is it something that needs a lot of rubbing?” He started to wrap his arms around my waist, grabbing me from behind.
“You can think of yourself as Aladdin. I’m the lamp.”

Spotlight Private Show (Private Series #2) by Danielle Torella

PrivateShow_TourBannerSynopsis
Tess has just discovered sex. And now, she’s about to discover sex as a weapon.
The Seattle barista and art student is happy with her beautiful Brit boyfriend, Ben — especially in the bedroom. But while Ben’s her first, she’s hardly his. And Ben’s sexual history seems to be popping up in Tess’s face like something out of a zombie movie, and it has her questioning his commitment — and questioning whether his appealing alpha maleness is just a cover for a controlling personality.
Maybe one that’s meant to keep her from asking too many questions.
Is Ben the problem, or is everybody from his past the problem?
Tess is asking the questions, and pushing hard for answers.
Is Nicole, the ex-fiancĂ© who cheated on Ben, trying to worm her way back into his life? Was there something between Ben and Tess’s best friend, Erin? Or what’s going on with Ben’s adored teenage sister, Caroline, and Ben’s best friend Dan? And how did Ben get Tess a job interview with Mr. Andrews, his sophisticated but slimy boss at the music magazine?
As Tess comes to learn, relationships — especially sexual ones — are as much about power as love. With each new discovery, she finds herself in a struggle to hold her head together as much as her heart.
And to find where her own power lies.

I smack him. Hard.
He stumbles back in pure shock and I was able to turn his head with my swing. I once again have an audience in a Starbucks. Damn … I better stop this, before I can no longer show my face in another one… He looks back at me and he looks pissed. Oh, shit. He closes his eyes stretches his neck and I can see him push his tongue to the left side of his cheek, making it look like he has a ball in his mouth.
He takes in a deep breath, points at me and says, “You’d better keep quiet, unless you want to hear all about what Ben’s been up to.”
Whew. I thought for a second there he was going to hit me back. Wait, what does he mean about what Ben’s been up to? I take a look around the shop and people quickly turn away. I am so pissed off and my wrist is killing me. I grab my jacket and bag and head out the door myself.

Synopsis
After a night of raw passion with the man Claire O’Briene had been secretly admiring for years, she thought their time together had come once and for all. Fate had finally brought them back to each other, but unfortunately nothing had changed. He was still the same man who ran away from relationships. Against his better judgment, Mason Bradley gave in to the temptation and allowed himself one night with the one woman he’d been too afraid to want … too afraid to need.
Six months after leaving Claire and regretting every minute of it, Mason gets called in for an undercover mission that’s not only dangerous, but brings back a past he spent years trying to forget. A past of fighting … of getting in the ring and using his fists to get what he wanted: money, women, and drugs. Now there are fighters turning up dead, and it’s Mason’s job to find out the truth.
Knowing he might not come out of the mission alive, Mason seeks out Claire to tell her how he truly feels, only to find another man competing for her love as well. Fighting is what he’s good at, and for once he will be fighting not only for justice … but for love.

Excerpt
The door to the arena room was open, and the moment we stepped in Claire gasped and I stared, wide-eyed at all the people. “Holy shit,” I breathed in awe. “It’s packed.”
Every single chair around the cage was occupied and there were people standing around everywhere. There were two guys already in the cage battling it out, except they looked to be part of the Lightweight division. When I fought several years ago, I was competing for the Heavyweight title. If they did fights in order of division then I would be going up there last.”Hey, guys,” Tyler exclaimed, carrying a beer in his hands.
Disapprovingly, I glared at the beer and then back up to him. “You should know better than to get drunk before a fight. It makes you sloppy,” I scolded him.
I really didn’t care either way what he did, but I knew better than to drink when I had to compete. Tyler chugged his beer and threw his cup in the trash a little too roughly.
“I do know better than to drink when I have to fight, but unfortunately, I’m not fighting tonight,” he announced.
“Wait, what?” Claire cut in. “What do you mean you’re not fighting? If you’re not the one fighting Mason then who is?”
Tyler glanced around the room with narrowed eyes until he found the person I was to fight and pointed to him. “That’s the guy over there with the blue mohawk. I think you might know him. He said he owed you for something you did a long time ago. Care to explain,” Tyler inquired curiously.
Following the direction of Ty’s pointed finger, I groaned when I saw the guy with the blue mohawk. Fuck, I knew who he was, or better yet, I knew his wife … very well.
“What is it Mason?” Claire asked worriedly. “Who is he?”
His name was Chase Benfield and I did the unthinkable by fucking his wife. Blowing out a frustrated breath, I lowered my head and began to explain, “Do you remember when I mentioned I had a dark past?”
“Yeah,” she said, drawling out the word. “Let me guess, you fought him back in the day?”
I nodded. “Yes, but that wasn’t just it.” I didn’t want to tell her what I did because I was ashamed of the way I acted and the way I did things. I was sure she would understand, hopefully, but I didn’t want her thinking less of me.
Claire let go of my hand and crossed her arms over her chest defiantly. “Dammit, just tell me already. You did this same shit to me when I was keeping something from you.”
“Fine,” I gave in, “but I need you to know it was a long time ago and it was before I even met you. I was stupid and did lots of stupid things that I shouldn’t have.”
She rolled her eyes. “Let me guess, you slept with his girlfriend,” she guessed blandly.
Sighing, I regretfully nodded my head and waited for the angry words to come spewing out of her mouth. Instead, she said, “So, what’s the big deal? You slept with her. That shit happens all the time. Why would he be angry about that still?”
“Well,” I began, “it was actually his wife and I hooked up with her in my prepping room during his fight for a spot at the Heavyweight title. His trainer had come looking for her and found us. Needless to say, word got back to Chase awfully fast.”
Claire groaned and hung her head. “Oh, hell, this isn’t going to be good.”
Chase finally spotted me from across the room and snarled his lip. No, I thought to myself, this definitely wasn’t going to be good.
