I have to say this was one hot book from beginning to end! I love this series.This book is not for the faint of heart and very erotic and explicit.This is an on going series and I have read the books out of order and didn't have a hard time following what was going on.
The main story was really about Kira and Tom Knight. Kira is a animal whisper and Tom is on assignment to recruit Kira into his organization ARCO which is a unit filled with people for extreme paranormal abilities very odd ones at that. Tom is recruited as a Farm hand where Kira works and she has no idea what he is really up to.He is given orders to kill her if she doesn't cooperate.
Kira is a animal whisper with the capabilities of talking to animals and sensing there emotions.She herself is special too. Once a year Kira goes into a seasoned heat where she needs to have sex every 4 hours or she can literally die if she doesn't receive it!The heat last four weeks so she needs things in place to be serviced every 4 hours as needs a mans seed in order to survive! What a bitch !Kira has choosen Tom as her mate for her seasoned heat spell.Tom on the other hand has no problem with helping her out but, he really doesn't know what he in for she dangerous!There's already a problem at the ranch when he arrives another operative is already there and not a good one but, a very dangerous one .The mission begins and they are on the run and dangerous people are out to take them out they must do what they need to out smart and out wit.
While on the run passions runs HOT! Two loners learning to trust and depend on one another and even learn to care for one another which is a first for both of them. While the story is playing out you learn a little bit more about Creed and Ani's story, Devin and Oz's story and Remy and Haley grace the pages from previous books.
I liked all the characters in the book they blended well together. I liked the premise of Kira being a animal whisper and you have to think to yourself she must have amazing abilities for an organization like ARCO to want her.She doesn't even realized the extent of her own abilities and what they could do with her if caught in the wrong hands..She is so amazing with the animals it warms your heart.
I laughed out loud and cried so many times throughout this book my husband was teasing me. The characters in this book have amazing abilities so its exciting to see what they will do next. A journey of danger wrought with suspense.Secrets coming to life a rekindled romance healing old war wounds and learning to love and hope for a happily every after.And some amazing hot sexual adventure !
