About Book

Twins Sera and Luke Raine have a well-kept secret—she heals with a touch of her hand, he sees the future. All their lives they've helped those in need on the sly. They’ve always thought of their abilities as being a gift.

Then Luke has a vision that Sera is killed. That gift they've always cherished begins to feel an awful lot like a curse. Because the thing about Luke’s ability? He’s always right. And he can't o anything about it.

My Thoughts

Wow ! What a great new start to a brand new series for me.This is a first time read for me from the author and I really enjoyed her current novel.

This was a really engaging story that drew the readers in.The cast of characters were amazing loved them all Sera,Luke,Jonas,Fey Brandon,Quinn,Raquel, and Marc.

All the characters were really likeable. Each and everyone had a special ability that they carried making them special in there own way.Sera and Luke definitely had a great group of friends that would put their own lives at risk just for them.

As always for me I must have one favorite character and for me it was Jonas. This handsome vampire just melted my heart. He is like no other vampire .Jonas is deadly don't get me wrong and is lethal when he needs to be but, the way her took to protecting Sera and caring about her the way he looks at her with longing for something more just breaks a girls heart. He really surprised me he seemed to have a lot of human emotions and a conscious making him even more lovable to me.

What a page turner not the seat of your pants kind but and engaging one. There was always so much happening things were shifting and changing all the time .Sera and Luke were born with rare abilities one a seer the other a healer and they were part of a Prophecy to be feared by all races  especially the magical ones and also by the vampires they saw these children as a threat. Danger lurked at every turn for this brother and sister team . The Vampires and also the Dark Elves also known as the shadows would stop at nothing to get there hands on these kids for their abilities alone.

Fey was a favorite of mind to she was Luke and Sera's friend and protector a warrior and also a Light Elf with amazing abilities. She was the chosen protector for these children without them even knowing it.She was a beautiful and kind person with a great sense of humor.

This story had it all to keep it interesting a great plot, bad guys chasing you, love interests for both Sera and Luke and more that a hint of danger always about making it a superb read.

I was a great pleasure to watch Sera and Luke grow and learn to wield their special gifts. They really had no choice to grow into them and master them quickly as people were trying to kill them. They were busy trying to find a way to honed their powers just to stay alive never really giving them time to savor a new accomplishment they might have achieved.

What a fascinating read.Could you imagine being able to see the future and perhaps change it ? Or have the ability to heal a sick person ?To be able to take someones pain away with just one touch ?What if you were able to make a Vampire a human again? And you wonder why these children were so sought after making them pawns in a ever changing game...

This is a new author for me and a new series and I have to say I loved it.Would recommend it to all.I am already looking forward to the next in its series can't wait!

Now Sera is in danger as the dark creatures of the Realm seek to use her. As Luke struggles to master his gift in order to save his sister, he discovers even more about his powers.

And what he learns just may put him in greater danger than Sera has ever been.

My Thoughts

Another great read from this author. The drama continues and the story picks up where book one left off.Wow ! Another exciting read !

The same characters from book one graced us with their presence in books two which I absolutely love about reading series.

My favorite character that would still be Jonas! He impressed me greatly again in this story as well.Still my knight in Shining armor. I am still in love with him in book two...LOL

My other favorite this time around would be Sera. This poor girl never caught a break. I thought she did extremely well under pressure.Being kidnapped twice and you're abducted once by the Vampires and then next by the Dark Elves and one more evil than the last .Sera really held herself together .She showed amazing strength and courage. Each one wanting the same thing for her to change them. But, the problem was would they change for the better or just become a different kind of evil just more powerful ?Creating a whole new race of evil. This is the downside of her ability never knowing what you were creating when dealing with mystical creatures.

The other world that this author created was beautiful and magical. The description of the realm was awe inspiring. The way she described the new world made you think you were right there with all the characters enjoying all the magic and the beauty that surrounded them. The descriptions had you so fascinated with the realm you wished you were there despite the dangers it held.

As the danger grew so did there friendships.Luke a Sera's cast of friends and their loyalties toward them simply amazed them both. They never had the kind of bond with another other than which they had with Fey.It was nice to be able to be yourself and not hide who and what you were from your friends thinking that you are nothing but a freak. They were able to bond more easlily with these amazing people because each had there own rare ability.Making each comfortable with who and what they were.Luke,Quinn and Brandon and Raquel were quite the characters they were always laughing and teasing each other making them a lot of fun to read about.

Luke he has such a sense of humor he had me smiling several times throughout the book with his teasing and playful ways. But on more of a serious note he really work hard to craft his ability as a seer.He not only was able to see the future but, learned how to intervene perhaps changing it.This making his abilities even more rare and powerful and protecting him even harder which worried Fey a lot.One which others should never know exists.

Just love the story and was a exciting and intriguing read.I had a lot of fun reading about this fantastic cast characters. The story kept you constantly guessing especially after you learned one secret after another. Now wondering how the story was going to unfold just drawing you in deeper and deeper. The book was fraught with danger that kept you turning the pages into the wee hours of the morning  just to see what happened next. I couldn't put the book down until it was finished.I will have a book hangover tomorrow but, I will be well worth it.

This story and also book one Intangible have been put into the keeper pile.I am looking forward to the next installment in this amazing series.  A recommended read to all.Ms. Meyers has a new fan in her fan club me !

 Author Interview

What would you have done differently if you were the main character of your book?

This is a GREAT question...and I have absolutely no idea. :-) I don't know that I would have done anything differently. I suppose that’s because I don't think Sera did anything stupid or made any dumb choices given the information she had, her life experiences, and who she is as a person.

What was your inspiration behind this book?

The idea for a girl who could heal with a touch of her hand was inspired by Reiki, an alternative healing method I’m very familiar with. And I wanted to write a clean book with a strong female main character who didn't just do as she was told but thought for herself.

Who designed your book cover for you?

I actually did the cover design myself (through a LOT of trial and error).

Why did you become a writer?

I love to tell stories. And I think making stuff up is MUCH more fun that sticking to facts. ;-)

As a reader and writer I think it is important to get to know your fans and make a connection with them as an author who takes the extra step to hear what their fans think and want in their continued writing is continued success and key to selling more books. Do you agree with that?

Yes! I have absolutely loved getting to know my readers and hearing their thoughts. The connections I've made with readers all over the world has been the best part of this writing journey!

Do you have a favorite author or authors?

I adore Laini Taylor, Franny Billingsley, Aidan Chambers, and J.K. Rowling.

If you could date any character from any book, who would it be and why?

Jonas. Definitely Jonas. He is so swoony and delicious. I love his loyalty, his moral complexity, his sense of humor. (But I'd have to say Luke is a *close* second because I just love his quick wit and sense of humor.)

How hard do you laugh when writing a funny scene?

I don't think I laugh out loud at all--mostly likely because I’m trying to craft the scene just right, get the timing perfect, so it comes across the way I want. But I'm usally all smiles as I’m getting it close to that point.

Do you cry when writing sad scenes?

Sometimes. Or I tear up when I'm revising sad or highly emotional scenes. (And I usually take that as a good sign that I've gotten the scene right if it’s affecting me, the person who knows the story inside-out and backwards.)

What kinds of books do you like to read in your spare time ?

I love reading all sorts of YA--especially paranormal/fantasy and contemporary. I've also recently gotten into New Adult contemporary romance as well. I'm an avid reader and am a regular at my local library. :-)
