When tragedy strikes, Kelly's life begins to fall apart and she can no longer see a future for herself. With the help of her friends, Kelly struggles to deal with the shock, pain and love from both her past and her present.

My Thoughts and Review

I have to compliment the author this was a fabulous book. We have all been touched by the loss of a loved one. This book takes you through the lives of best friends Kelly, Matt, Rachel & Laura when they lose their friend Jake, Kelly's finance, to a very tragic accident. It takes you through what each feels along with Jakes parents. How one friends grief is private and angry and lashes out so unexpectedly.

Kelly is devastated when she gets home thinking Jake forgot to pick her up only to have his parents arrive to take her to the hospital where Jake was taken. When Jake doesn't make it her world falls apart. He had been a part of her life for as long as she could remember. How would she go on. Good friends Matt and Rachel are there with her through all of it.

Then a silver lining she's going to be a mother and part of Jake will live on. What great news or is it? Not everyone takes the news as Kelly thought they would. A friend lashes out, Jakes mother and father struggle and before it's all said and done Kelly and her babies are all fighting for their lives.

But that silver lining comes back and through all of the trials these friends and family members go through Love blossoms, hearts mend and life goes on.

This is a really good book and shows that even in ones darkest hour there really is hope and love at the other end.

My Thoughts and Review

I first want to say I LOVED THIS BOOK. Right from the start you feel a part of the story line and can see the characters Michael (Miguel) the handsome yet secretive and determined FBI agent on the run, Blair the beautiful yet insecure woman who fell in love but was afraid to take the leap. From the start they are thrown back into each others lives after years of fighting what their hearts were telling them. And from the go they are in constant turmoil with each other, and constant danger from those who wish to end Michael's life.

Blair is set to dive in and show Michael she wants him, Michael battles it the whole way. He's fighting for his life, and fighting against what his heart is telling him (more than Blair is). He is running from his best friend and Blair's brother. Afraid he is part of the ones who want to kill him. Blair is willing to risk everything to help him and prove he is innocent and prove her brother is too.

This is a fast past, constantly moving, ducking and running book. The sexual tension is always underlying and yet right there on the top. Amazingly written, easy to become a part of, see and feel the characters and the settings. Great book.

Blurb

Aspiring romance novelist Jane Sillee was completely in love with her fantasy man -- the hot and strapping dark-haired Highlander who d been coming to her in her dreams for years and inspired her sensual flights of literary fancy.

But it was more than her imagination that conjured up the brilliantly woven tapestry sporting the spitting image of her magnificently arrogant warrior. It was more than a dream that transported her to medieval Scotland to break an evil spell. And it was more than she could handle when she found herself wrapped in the muscular arms of Aedan MacKinnon, who had his own fantasies to fulfill..

My Thoughts and Review

Great read as always. Loved the story.Jane Sillee is as aspiring writer. She believes in fantasy and romance. She has been dreaming about her dream man for some time hoping to find him in real life. Her dream man is a Highland Warrior who was tricked and sent into the Fey Realm for 5 years where is was torched and made into a killing machine. But, fate steps in and with the help of a busy body Queen  the two star crossed lovers are thrown into each others path and Jane thrown back in time and lands naked no less in her dream lovers front yard and he doesn't even know her !

At the beginning of this story I never laughed so much in a book.Jane's antics are hilarious. She does all kinds of things to get the Highlanders attentions with her wiles and smart mouth. Anything to get him to remember her...She only has one month to get Aedan MacKinnon, to love her and remember who they were to one another.

Aedan  is a hardened warrior for sure.He has had a horrible captivity and has painful wounds that run deep. So when you see his protective shell start to crack little by little you get to see a softer side of him that was good and buried. His interactions with Jane are really funny and had you chuckling quite a bit which was really nice to see as you could not help feel his aura of pain.He has lived so long in the Fey that he doesn't even believe he is human anymore.

One of the funniest scenes that I ever read was the scene where she tells him not to read the pages of her story that she has been writing. His expressions were priceless !

This was not an long story but, It was packed with tons of humor and romance. Some Time traveling, and meddling Fey.It was a page turner from beginning to end. You just couldn't wait to see what Jane did next !The reminder of the book was quite entertaining also. Karen gives us a look into the life of a writer sharing some of her works that were scraped and re-vamped and also her struggle to get published. After reading everything she has written I can't believe the horrors she went through just to get her work published.A less stronger willed person would have thrown in the towel but, not her !Loved reading her first Draft that was originally going to be the Dark Highlander.

She is an amazing author and we here at Angels recommended this read and her other books they are all fantastic in our book !
